Krueger Vaught was founded by brothers Balm Krueger and Tacoma Vaught, focusing on Pinot Noir from the maritime influenced hills west of Occidental within the West Sonoma Coast AVA. Balm leads the winemaking with a restrained, minimal intervention approach shaped by experience in the Russian River Valley and along the coastal hills of western Sonoma County, relying on careful handling and the exclusive use of gravity in the cellar. Fruit comes from cool, wind influenced sites near the Pacific, where fog, maritime exposure, and surrounding redwood forests shape Pinot Noir with vibrant acidity, aromatic lift, and natural structure. The aim is to produce wines that reflect the tension, nuance, and coastal character of the far western edge of Sonoma County.
